Focal Points and Viewpoints

So I shot w/ Ginger in Northampton and came across a kick-ass toy store that had UglyDolls! (My sis loves those friggin things.)

This is where we met two unlikely (but lovely) models who were nice enough to pose for me. Thanks again you two! Hope you enjoy these shots. Sorry if they're a bit blurry...a half a second is a long time to hold still haha.




After that, I proceeded with my assignment where I had to take different viewpoints on different subjects as well as break up line and use color and contrast and all that jazz. I didn't feel so successful this time...but it sure was a hell of a lot of fun that day! Ginger went home that day because she felt sick, but I was lucky enough to hook up with some down folks.

Portable Electronic Flash

Oh yes, this day was totally awesome. As you can see my models were all stoked to be there.

But despite the weird tension in the air, I did manage to complete the assignment. We were supposed to work with a Q-flash indoors mounted on a 5D. The different parameters were to shoot w/ no flash, bounced flash, flash matched w/ ambient and flash more powerful.

Technical Skill Demo

For this one we had to demonstrate different tech's such as freezing motion and showing motion. This was an interesting day since I was paired up w/ the "kiddies." Not that it's a terribly bad thing or anything...I actually felt like a kid again at times (wow that makes me feel old).

I just got the grade back and wow did I fail miserably. Basically got a C+

But anywho, here are the decent ones:

Yeah I know I chopped some of the car off, but it was my best of the bunch. It was such a long day. I just wanted to get done. Other than that, technically, it looks solid.
